This project was created for Reliable Street, located in Ames, Iowa. SHIFT is a collaboration of 87 second-year architectural students. The project, which is located on the grounds of the old Doboy Mill, is an inclusive outdoor place for adults and children to rest, play, and interact with the structure. SHIFT engages the local community with its expressive form, tiered areas, and solar illumination. The project, which was made of cedar boards, took two months to design and build.
