This project is mainly aimed at the instability of NYCHA’s power supply, bringing out people’s inequality towards NYCHA and in society. Residents living here need stronger resilience to respond
to emergencies, they need more vitality on the NYCHA campus, they need clean energy to mitigate climate change, renovate open spaces to build a strong on-site energy system. We discovered that
the microgrid is extremely suitable for this particular site in order to realize the community energy wonderland. Solar energy offers a lot of promise in this area, particularly on rooftops and in open
spaces. To satisfy emergency demands, the system would manage the power generated on-site and function independently. Harvesting energy, and hence controlling and storing it through the microgrid network, is required to establish a robust microgrid. When confronted with a flood, we use higher components to protect it. As a result, we can build structures such as pathways on campus, allowing our neighbors to use public space for a variety of activities.
EVERYONE should have EQUAL OPPORTUNITY for a RELIABLE ENERGY SYSTEM
