Design Vision
With the realization that today's enormous and global rise in urbanization has played a significant part in my decision for a Graduate Degree in Architecture and Urban Design, after my Undergrad Degree in Bachelor of Architecture. It is essential to note the economic, environmental, and societal effects of this field on current and future generations. My long-term career objective is to merge the domains of urban design with my rich Chinese cultural background to generally generate fresh and reasonably distinctive urban design solutions in a significant way.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but have lived in Los Angeles for two years while studying high school and lived in Ames for five years while attending Iowa State University. My father is an estate agent and the owner of a real estate agency; my mother is a dentist nurse which is in the medical profession. When the moment comes to decide my career, I am not sure what to expect about my future path, and I made a decision on studying psychology but turns out it does not fit me. During the period, I looked back to what I really want to do, while I have always felt that my special page on architecture design is not much more than the impact of my father, but also very inspired by art. For these, I decided to explore architecture as my career path and urban design as support.
